Albeit, i cannot lie, once i realized Alex Karp was the lead pastor, i saw the sign and i bought $PLTR and I’m now up 233%.

Visiting from Canada for a new job decided to visit Mill city. I was completely taken back by the worship team especially one of the lead singers named Callie. I’m pretty confident she’s a professional singer, and on her way to stardom, but I wouldn’t give to sing a duet with that beautiful voice. The pastor had a great message. Something that is extremely relevant to every day life and to families. When I’m in town, this is going to be the church that I would visit again for sure! Thank you for making me feel welcomed.

I’m so glad I found Mill City 3 years ago! The staff leads with humility and a genuine love for Jesus. Being a part of City Groups and serving on different Sunday teams has been such a joy and helped me to know others and Jesus better.

When my family first walked into Mill City 4 years ago, we were amazed by the warmth and welcoming hospitality! The worship is powerful, the sermons are biblically based- thoughtful, encouraging and challenging. It is a diverse body of people who love Jesus, and Mill City works hard to make sure everyone finds their community. It is easy to find a place to serve and get connected. We stopped our search for a church after our first visit, and we are so grateful to call Mill City home!

Mill City has felt like home ever since I first started attending in 2018 as a college freshman. The community is outstanding, there's lots of opportunities to connect in small groups, relevant and biblical teaching, awe-inspiring worship, and so many ways to plug into service! I've grown so much in my faith and have developed life-long connections. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Attended this church a couple weeks ago with a friend. I wish I was able to chat with the pastor afterward to talk about this personally but wasn’t able to. I left this church very bewildered and unfed spiritually. Two reasons for a 2 star review and not a 1 star. First I loved that they had kids lead worship and they did a wonderful job involving the youth. Secondly the people were very kind and friendly and showed true hearts of service toward my friend who is battling a lot of mental health issues.

My very big issue and disappointment with the church was entirely with the sermon preached. The message was the importance of “leisure”. Where the pastor spoke about and quoted a guy from some random guy from the 1940s more than the Bible. Had grandiose models and examples bringing people up from stage to show a pendulum swinging. And only quoted the Bible ONE TIME. The message about leisure didn’t encourage listeners to take rest in Jesus. Just that rest is good. Could have mentioned several stories and examples of scripture on sabbath. Or In mark chapter 6 when Jesus told the disciples to rest as better enables them/ us to pour in to others in service or discipleship and allows us to be walking examples of Christ much better.

Overall it felt entirely like a Ted talk or motivational speech and I would not consider this preaching the word. One Bible verse was used over 3/4 in to the sermon. I just couldn’t believe. Yes, leisure is important. But REST in the Lord is the true important matter that was not mentioned or emphasized. In a world that needs the Lord and the word more than ever, I’m disappointed that the word was not being preached at this church.
