Update: This issue was completely resolved by the manager who reached out below. She let me know that in this case, the front-desk staff should have provided a rain-check voucher. I now have mine and will use it next time we come. Thanks so much!

Horrible experience. Came to the front desk with my son for a day-pass swim. Were charged $25 then told the wave pool wasn’t working and they were short on life guards. We took a chance and went down stairs to find a bunch of parents and kids packed into the other pool like sardines. My son doesn’t do well packed in like that. So we went back upstairs and asked for a refund and they wouldn’t give us one. We were gone from the front desk for about 1 min, we didn’t even undress. This is an insane policy. First charge the guest then tell them the facilities are not functional and no refund? If a manager wants to reach-out I’ll be happy to talk to you.

It is an older facility, but very clean. The weight room is small, but has all the important Basics making any workout possible with only minor adaptations. The locker rooms are very basic but more than adequate. And, the staff is friendly.

The pool is always freezing in the winter months. We can't stay long because our lips start to turn purple. The air temp is also way too cold. My guess is the old windows, and there are a lot of windows, so probably too expensive to fix all that.

This is my honest review of our personal experience at this location. When we arrived the front desk staff was very professional even though we had to wait a few minutes because of limited capacity; Josh was very pleasant explaining this matter to us. We only waited 10 mins. We purchased a day pass. The locker’s and restrooms were clean. The lifeguards improved their behavior because they were very alert on this day (Sunday). We didn’t feel uncomfortable. My children had a blast; this was their first visit at this location. I would recommend this location for children and parents just looking to enjoy a fun pool day or membership.

We've been coming here to swim for years, usually on cold or rainy days, but my daughter wanted to go in the wave pool the other day. There was no mention of the wave pool being out of service, even when I brought it up while we were checking-in. While that was a disappointment, we stayed.
The majority of the pool facility was OK and about what we had experienced previously.

My MAIN concern, and the reason I'm even writing a review, is your staff. We've been at the Wilson Ranch pool and Monument Valley pools in the last 2 weeks and the staff at those locations were friendly and helpful. Not the case at Cottonwood. My daughter was hit in the head (while we were in the lazy river) by a blue football thrown from the wave pool, intended for the lifeguard standing on the side of the wave pool. No apology was given and we were instead ignored while the lazy river lifeguard went and retrieved the ball for the wave lifeguard. Any time I brought anything up to them, I was disregarded. The lifeguards here seem so focused on their music (which was not appropriate for young children), and horsing around.
Where are the supervisors and why is this location like that? You have 5-6 kids sitting in the lifeguard office messing around and rap music blaring from the speaker while there are issues that need to be addressed. We won't be coming back any time soon and I will not be moving forward with my YMCA membership.

Feel free to reach out. In fact, I'd prefer it. The 2 front desk workers did nothing when I, and another patron raised concerns yesterday.

Small gym but the pool area is nice. We took our grandson there fairly regularly and he always had a good time. Facilities are clean and staff is helpful.

Staff are very friendly and helpful here. Pool is awesome! Can't wait to come back as much as possible! 😁

We never go to the pool because it’s so expensive. They overcharged me $5 and would not correct the mischarge.
