I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stem & Roots plant store, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! After inheriting a large cactus (named Roofus) from my late father, I was nervous to give it the repotting it clearly needed. I reached out to a Facebook group for help, and Stem & Roots came highly recommended.

From the moment I contacted them, I was reassured. The owner and staff were incredibly understanding and compassionate about my situation. They took the time to explain the repotting process and assured me they would treat my father's cactus with the utmost care. They went the extra mile to search for a pot big enough to fit Roofus & allow him to thrive. This was a project many people likely would’ve shied away from, but Stem & Roots dove right in and assured me they would do it right.

Since Roofus is extremely heavy and wouldn’t fit in the backseat of my car, they offered to deliver it from Fort Collins to Greeley. This thoughtful gesture made a world of difference for me during an extremely challenging time.

Overall, my experience at Stem & Roots was nothing short of exceptional. They not only provided excellent service but also honored my father's memory by taking such good care of his beloved Roofus. If you’re in need of plant care or repotting services, go to Stem & Roots!

This is one of the best kept secrets of Fort Collins! My fiancé and I have shopped here most weekends for almost a full year now. We started at the terrarium bar and then became full blown plant-addicts. They have a huge selection of houseplants and other handmade items. They have partnered with a local reptile store to provide a variety of isopods for terrariums. We have received mentorship from both the owners and the incredible employees (Lily in particular). We always feel welcome and super at home at Stem and Roots. 😉

Just the best plant store EVER! I just checked and can't believe I haven't left a review yet, after years of us being customers! The terrarium bar is our favorite, we always end up with a new one every 6 months at the most lol. I swear I have at least 5 plants that would be long dead without the help of Stem and Roots and their staff. Anytime I have an issue, I call or DM them for help/advice and often end up bringing them in for diagnosing! They have a super friendly educated staff that wants to help, and a little plant hospital in the back where they help me figure out what to do!

There are also tons of cute little locally made goodies around, and an awesome selection of plants and pots. But really the staff are the best part, they all are such kind warm locals who I WANT to give my money to lol. Special shout out to Korey Kaley and Lily, who keep my small house-jungle thriving ❤️

This is such a great plant shop! The plant selection was perfect! They have lots of cute pots and planty things. They have a terrarium bar downstairs where you can host a private party or stop by on your own. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable and even answered my questions about random plants I have at home. They also do affordable plant consultations, so if you have a struggling plant at home you can bring it in and they will treat and/or repot it for you! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Fort Collins plant lovers rejoice! One of the best plant stores I've been to! Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable and can help answer almost any question. Houseplant experts and novices will have plenty of options. I'll also echo the praise for the terrarium bar downstairs. It's an absolute blast worth the trip on its own! Great for parties, great for a solo adventure.

My husband and I went for the first time today, what an amazing shop. The experience and the products were beyond amazing- but it was the staff that won us over. I wish I would have gotten their names (or remembered), but they made our experience of building a terrarium exceptional. They answered all our questions and provided great support. We will 100000% be back and will recommend as one of our favorite stores in FoCo.

This place is AMAZING! For ALL plant enthusiasts, it's a must visit. They are celebrating their year mark and if you haven't been in yet you are missing out! They recently added a terrarium room where you can make your own. The creativity was flowing and I will surely be back with a group of my favorite peeps to make some magic happen. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and dog lovers. So make sure you say hi to their pooches. They have a variety of hand made items as well that took my breath away. P.S. this makes a great date place if you or your partner loves plants.

I love Horsetooth Stem & Roots! The owners are the nicest and always so open to answer your questions or concerns about any plants. They are very passionate about what they do. The shop is beautiful and lush! Carrying such a great collection of plant babies as well as curating beautiful pieces from diff local artists. There’s always something new to find here. My favorite shop in CO! I have gotten quite a few plants here and know that every visit I have to leave with a new baby or pot. They also carry some beautiful uncommon plants too. They can have all my money haha. A real treasure. Make sure to visit them soon!
