What a cool place!!! My kids loved it just as much as us adults. So much history!! We stumbled across it looking for kid friendly things to do while driving through Colorado. So many very well preserved artifacts, and fun hands on things for kids. Would definitely recommend!

What a great place to visit. The layout is great for a calm stroll into the past. There's a ton to look at, and it's all set up really well. I expected a lot less, so I was truly surprised. My youngest is 4, we were there for 3 hours without him getting bored, so that says something. For me, this place is a must go if you're in Breckenridge or the surrounding area. And the scenery driving to get there is breathtaking!

We went with family, we had a bigger group but there is lots of space. The scavenger hint they have for the kids makes looking for the answers more fun. Lots of really cool exhibits. Excellent for homeschooling.

One of the best collections of early western buildings and artifacts of any historical museum that I’ve been to. The place molds seamlessly into downtown Fairplay, and the collection of 40+ structures have been beautifully restored. For the price, this place is definitely worth a visit!

I could have spent all day here if I could. So much to read and many artifacts to see. Highly recommend a visit to the South Park City Museum for all ages, especially history and Colorado history buffs like myself. Will definitely be back with friends and family in the future.

Oh this place was amazing! I love history and I've been to see these type of collections of historic buildings in several places. This was my favorite so far! The historical detail and the condition of the buildings were very much appreciated. We were also tickled about how it is set up as a town in the 1800s, wooden sidewalks and all! Even my kids (4 & 9) had a blast! Perhaps best of all, they allow you to bring your dog with you. It was a day well spent in my family!

I love all the western town museums, and this one is up there. The sets were very interesting to look at, and the tour guys were very knowledgeable. One of the other things I should mention, is there are plenty of stores outside of the museum with South Park merchandise (from the show). Every time we have to cut through Fairplay, list museum/the shops around it are always a good place to stop.

This was one of best stops of our trip! E searched many days for cool ghost towns but this is a fully restored town with real buildings and artifacts and really gives you the experience of an old west town. The kids loved it and the price was only $10 or so each, so it was a great value! There were even QR codes on the wall linked to YouTube videos of more in depth material on the different buildings. Such a cool experience!
