Nice people, pastor is very accessible and it’s a beautiful location. I really Love the outside services in summer. Something powerful about church outside. And a puppy to greet you as you enter.

This church is amazing! If you're reading reviews of it, please just come for a couple weeks and check it out. You will be so happy you did.

I came here from my first church ever, a multi-site church with a radio presence (which was how I found it in the first place). I wasn't really sure what to expect outside of that experience.

The community at Ascent is second-to-none. Really nice people, very friendly, and it feels like they genuinely want you to be a part of everything (I say this as someone who is NOT particularly outgoing by nature). The pastor and his wife are the nicest people, humble and genuinely committed to this congregation. Every time I go, I meet more people because that is how this place works.

And the teaching is wonderful. It's very gentle, but if anything it's MORE Biblically solid than the place I came from and genuinely encourages self-reflection.

A church that is so welcoming that soon after you are there many people know your name. If you want to belong and learn more about Jesus, this can be your home. Fantastic young adult group that chews on real issues and supports each other. The Pastor is the real deal! Dave is genuine, truthful, and full of joy. A contagious environment that wants to see you for sure.

Wedding specific review
I grew up at this church and loved the idea of getting married here. We got the outdoor venue, The Outpost, which is beautiful, however there was no power. They must be planning some renovations because some of the wires to the breaker box out there weren't connected.
Regarding planning, it was kind of a pain, knowing what is allowed and what is not, and then trying to get in contact with the staff when things went wrong. They say their office hours are 9-4 on Mondays but they weren't there at 11.
Overall, we got through it, and at a cheap price too. Thank you for letting us celebrate in my hometown.
