Painted Paws for Veterans helped me find my best friend. They were thorough in their application process and required a home visit. I appreciated this for several reasons. Painted Paws made sure my pup, Jeffrey and I were a good fit. They refuse to adopt dogs out to families/individuals with circumstances in which dogs will be unsafe/returned, etc. And isn't that what a rescue should do? Adopt dogs out to home that can truly be "forever homes?" Painted Paws not only helped me find Jeffrey, but they have been available to us with any questions since then-training, behavior, vet recommendations, etc. They truly love the dogs they rescue, and that is something I can get behind!

I have to say that Ty & Sara have the most compassionate and loving rescue sanctuary I have ever seen. I have been on their Facebook website for around 2 years and have seen all the hard work and love that goes into their program. They give of themselves, so that the animals can have a happy life, whether they are lifers or will be adopted out.

Ty and Sara are veterans who gave not only to their (our) country, but continue their mission to make sure all animals are taken care of and are a part of a loving family forever.

God Bless you both and your staff of volunteers!

What a great organization! I adopted a dog from them back in 2017, and he has been such a true and joyful companion for years now. My dog has a natural therapeutic nature and is so good-looking that he naturally attracts the young, old, and everyone in-between. Now that he’s mature, I plan on getting us certified to help veterans this coming new year. Thank you, Ty and Sara! Forever grateful.

We adopted Barry in September 2018. We are so grateful to have him. He definitely completes our family. If I have any questions I reached out to Ty. He gladly answered them. He also took the time to show me how to clip his nails. I was terrified of cutting them to short. I stay in touch with them. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a dog. I know they have high standards when adopting animals out which makes sure the dogs go to great homes and families.

I have known the founders of this rescue/sanctuary for over 15 years. They are caring, compassionate, and completely dedicated to their chosen work, the animals in their care, and the community they serve. Their responsibility does not end at their property line. If one of their clients is unable to care for an animal adopted through Painted Paws for Veterans, that animal will always have a safe home back at the sanctuary, no matter what the reason or how long ago the adoption took place.

I provide forever homes to senior and disabled dogs - on a much smaller scale than PPFV. I admire Ty and Sarah's devotion to rehabilitation, healthy bodies and minds of their dogs. Caring for these animals properly is expensive and nearly 24/7 time consuming - but a wonderful way to spend time. I support the spay and neuter requirements. There are too many dogs available, there is zero reason for breeding. Choose kindness and respect the selection process for adopting out these beloved animals.

Painted Paws for Veterans is an outstanding organization. Everyone there truly cares about the well being of every single animal they have. This is a sanctuary for dogs that have been through horrific situations. Without Ty and Sarah these puppies would be put to sleep. They are doing an outstanding job. They are fantastic.

Ty and Sara’s #1 priority is the welfare of the dogs on the ranch when they are there and when they are adopted out. There are reasons they have rules and every adopter signs a document stating that they will adhere to those rules. The people who choose to lie and outright slander this amazing organization just because they feel entitled and don’t have to follow the rules they agreed to should be held accountable. I can’t say enough good things about the care and love these dogs get. Ty is literally on call for any adopter who needs help with their new dog. He’s all about making it a good experience for the dog & adopter.
