I will review the 5 key parts.
Pool: 8/10, deep end will keep you entertained if you get bored with everything else.
Basketball: 9/10, there are 2 courts so if 1 court is in use, just use the other.
Racquetball: 9/10, Lots of room to move around. If you want a hard challenge, hit one that makes you jump right at the glass.
Climbing area: 8/10, There are not many routes, but it is good for beginners.
Fitness: 9/10, has lots of both machine and free weights. It seems like cardio machines make up the majority of the area.

0 out of 5 stars. Family oriented? We have had a family membership for years and are not happy with how we were treated today. The manager on duty made my daughter cry and ruined her week. Way to go Erie Community Center! The manager claimed they "may have" lost some of our paperwork saying the "system does that sometimes" and that there's nothing they can do about it due to "we have to follow policy". I called all the supervisors and it's a poorly run facility when the only way to get results is to leave negative public feedback.

We love having this rec center so close to our home. It's really high quality compared to other rec centers I've been to. The only thing preventing us from coming more often is the pool is freezing. My kids can stand 30 minutes until their lips are blue. We'd love it if Erie rec would warm it up! I know other families avoid this pool for the same reason.

The staff are lovely and the facility is clean and well maintained. I took off one star because there aren’t enough treadmills and the running track is very crowded with people and equipment. Possibly a cardio room can be set up in one of the back rooms that always appear to be empty.

Went for a kids birthday party. The pool area was very clean and nice and they had a lot of slides and attractions for little kids. There were 8 kids attending the party but they only had tables and chairs set up for 6. So 2 kids had no seats and had to stand and eat and there were not any seats at all for adults to eat pizza and other treats at the party. Party was from 4:45 to 6pm. Lifeguards had to do individual swimming assessments with each child before they were allowed in the water. So kids got in water about 5pm. They got out at 5:45 to eat pizza and food. Place closed at 6pm so we were rushed out of there. Kids only had 45 minutes in water. There was simply not enough time. Also, the floor area around the pool had just been painted and was extremely slippery when wet, which made no sense at all.

I had my father's life celebration here after his passing. Everyone was very kind and helpful. They kept checking on us to make sure we had everything. I rented two connecting rooms and it was perfect. They had tables and chairs and I was able to connect into their speaker system to play music. It was a perfect place.
