Unfortunately, I had a similar experience to those posted here. I am only writing this so other people will contact the attorney general and file a report to have this organization investigated. 1300 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203 Also the civil rights division. Google reviews don't change this behavior. They shouldn't treat people like this. I want to know the percentage of minorities they actually help. Also their criteria for assistance as it seems to change frequently.

They don't help just tell you what you did wrong I called they said come up I went there they told me I should have called when I did you are better off on the street then asking them for help. They stuck at being helpful just make you feel like dirt about yourself. I wish I would have never wasted my time with them. I didn't for the profile they wanted I guess there are levels they help and if you are homeless they don't care. They really suck!

They don’t care and they lied. I called the other day to see if I could get rental assistance and they told me yes, but I would have to come in. I brought in all the documentation that they asked for and filled out all the financial paperwork they requested. I came in two days after and they refused to help me. I even showed them my eviction notice. I wasted my time and gas to drive over there to be turned away. Terrible customer service, didn’t provide me with options, I wonder if this is a racial situation going on. If you are only a food bank….say so, don’t lie to me and give me hope when you have no intention to do so. I would recommend people going somewhere else…anywhere is better than these people.

This place is one big joke and must be ran by under cover klansman. I heard stories that they refuse people of color assistance and decided to test it for myself. We had an African American male call in and asked what was needed of him before he came in. He was told to bring in his utility bills and copy of lease agreement. All this was brought in plus he needed to fill out 5 forms of personal information. Once it was reviewed by the worker she went in another office to speak to a manager then came back to him only to tell him he was refused. He asked why and she stated he had a pattern of coming there asking for financial assistance instead of food assistance. The gentleman explained to her that it had been 6 years since he came for assistance and got it then. And where does it stipulate on paper of a pattern. She would not answer him and kept his personal and private information, even though he requested it back after he was refused. He stated that he was worried that his private information would be sold to 3rd parties since he was denied. She said he had to leave and gave a piece paper that stated he could only come back for food and not financial help! A few days later we sent a Caucasian male who had the exact same situation and was given assistance with no problem. We also noticed that they did not have one person of color working there. Legal matters are being taken.
