Everytime my husband comes in to be seen they treat him like he is not a priority or we feel they are being racist. My husband is African American and Puerto Rican and tell me why everytime we come here they put him in the inmate room but when I come in I get a regular room. They also never send a nurse in and leave us in here for an hour to see the doctor and never put on his pulse ox or blood pressure cuff I have to do it myself. The nurses are rude and just stand around laughing outside the rooms not doing anything and act like it's a bother when we call them in to the room.

Son was in the ER, absolute trash help. First time in the hospital, but they expect you to know the layout. Security tried to have attitude as well, pretty terrible experience.

Went in for chest pain and severe cough while compromised by chemotherapy. Was treated by upbeat, friendly, compassionate health care workers. They actually listened to me every step of the way, relieved my fears, ran all appropriate and thorough tests, explained the results. They allowed my input on the course of diagnostics and therapy. I am so grateful for their expert care. 2/6/2020

It’s an emergency room. Stop complaining about the wait. If you are well enough to walk out and post complaints then do so. Providing emergency care 24/7, 365 is extremely expensive.
Mercy is on my most disliked list. I have recently changed to providers that aren’t associated with the hospital. Patient centered care is apparently not a priority in the rest of the hospital anymore.
The ER is different. My family has received excellent and compassionate care there for the last two decades. From sutures to life saving treatment they are always there for us.

Mercy hospital “bills your insurance” when you arrive, and then the doctor sends you a separate bill for the same amount. You won’t find out till a year later and collections is calling you.

Now the doctors are 100% dismissive and you have to push to get care. Husband has had history of intestinal blockages, went to ER after throwing up all night. Doctor said “well the flus going around, we will give you anti nausea” … we had to push her to do her job and check for a bowel obstruction which WE HAD PLENTY OF REASON TO BELIEVE WAS GOING ON. He turned out ok, but at the end of the day if we thought it was a stomach flu we would’ve taken him to primary care.

I came in with my son, who fractured his spine in an accident. We were sent back immediately. The staff was so efficient moving through the various stages of diagnosing, and the nurses and doctors were so kind to both me and my son the entire time. The front office staff was patient with me (the accident happened on Jan 2nd and I had old insurance information and had to track down my new policy). I could not have asked for a better, faster treatment experience. I just received my bill, and it is clear, easy to read, and right in line with what I was expecting for the services received. Absolute best treatment, beginning to end, and the kindness and efficiency made a horrible event bearable.

I am so upset about my visit today I walked out before they could even draw blood. I am in silverton for the summer working and am not near my specialist. I had some sort of liver event that’s required close monitoring of my bilirubin levels. I drove down today and the nurse who checked me in was so dismissive and rude I even said to her “I can go?” When she weighed me it was in kilos so I asked about my weight. As I am monitoring it closely because I’m losing weight rapidly she refused to tell me my weight. Instead she told me the calculation to figure it out 3 times and made me use my calculator to find out my weight. Even AFTER I told her the high bilirubin was giving me bad brain fog. Why not just tell me my weight? Why go thru the effort of explaining the conversion 3 times for me to use a calculator. After 3 1/2 hours of waiting with no one in the waiting room, I left. I won’t be coming back. I have good insurance. What is the point of making me feel like a burden? What not just answer a simple question? I will be contacting my Insurance and giving them a full report of my care and I’ll make sure to never step foot in your doors again. You’re not there to help people. You’re there to make them feel worse and give up on quality care and walk out without being seen.

My fiancé got sent in from her work for Severe abdominal pain. I met her immediately at the ER where she deemed me her one (And only) guest Due to COVID precautions. We went to a room to get her blood work and vitals. (They also put me through a questionnaire and checked my temperature for COVID) After 3 1/2 hours the CT scan team took her And told me it will take 15 minutes. I told her nurse I was going outside to make a call and would be right back, I was out maybe 3 minutes and when I returned a new front desk woman (Who didn’t look happy to be there) informed me I wasn’t supposed to leave the room and that I wasn’t allowed back in. I explained I’ve already been deemed her guest and gone through their testing. She smuggly repeated “yeah, sorry” after my every plea, While guest after guest kept walking through. She told me to take a seat. (for another 2 1/2 hours) There were no signs warning guest to remain inside and 0 effort to get me back in to be with her. If it was based on the staff behind the doors I would have given 3 to 4 stars. They seemed concerned enough even with the wait time. But being denied seeing her combined with the attitude and complete lack of effort I could’ve given a half star. Extremely Unsatisfied with the waiting room experience. If you have the option I recommend going somewhere else
