On February 22, 2019 the CCF sent us an award letter from the Bruce Karatz Family Foundation to our 501 c 3 foundation in the amount of $150,000. We did not open the letter for about two weeks. We finally deposited the check on March 21, 2019. We immediately started calling individuals that were looking to have a mammograms but couldn't afford one. We said we could help. When I called CCF to thank them for the donation they said that they cancelled the check around the first week of March. I said that I received no phone call, email or message from you. I was very disappointed. Unfortunately because of the amount of the check our bank froze our account and has indicated that the fraud division intends on closing our account. After multiple phone calls to the CCF regarding the problems this has caused us, their response was we made a mistake. That's it. We are scrambling to change our auto-pays to another bank. It is my opinion they did not seem remorseful at all. They told me today that their legal department would send me a letter. This is not how a foundation should treat another foundation. As of 3/29/19 our assets are frozen and we are being told our account will probably be closed by the fraud department. We have been a 501 c 3 foundation for 11 years and never had this kind of a problem with a check or a foundation stopping a check and not notifying us.

For some reason this place comes up as a animal rescue group, do not bring any sort of animal here, the guy at the front desk will give you a vacant look and after 10 minutes of staring at you he will tell you it is not a rescue group
