As a tour guide, director, and operator, I often visit tourism offices and welcome centers. Durango's is hands down the best one I've ever been to. The staff was welcoming and helpful--even digging through some files and making photocopies for me of handouts I wished to have. The facility is beautiful and an excellent stop for anyone wishing to learn what to do and how to do it while visiting the area. Top notch--don't change a thing!

Honestly this had to be the worst Welcome/Visitor Center my husband and I have ever been to. When we came in awhile back, we weren't greeted. They looked at us while briefly stopping their conversation amongst friends then continued on with it. They never asked if they could help us with anything or point out which brochures would be most helpful. Instead, they completely ignored us the WHOLE time we were in there and didn't even bother to say, "have a good day" as we left. Such poor customer service.

We stopped in to get tour tickets for the next day for Mesa Verde and ended up exploring the whole place for more ideas about what to do while in Durango. The displays are beautiful and have information on everything you need to know to visit Durango and the area. From restaurants, to breweries, to outdoor activities and shopping, it's all here. Super friendly staff, too, and a nice little selection of Mesa Verde merchandise as well.

It's such a cute place and you can get little coupons! It's dog friendly and also has an area where kids can color. The bathrooms are super clean thank goodness! Overall just a cute place!

It’s so terrific to have a judgement free place to use the bathroom. One of the toughest things about main before was you’re out doing a big shop and no one has public restrooms… or you get side eye for using a bathroom without purchasing anything. They keep everything so tidy and the staff is always friendly. They have tons of pamphlets and info for what to do around town too.
