Impossible to reach the Executive Director, Dennis Van Kampen, as his secretary won't allow it but blocks me from speaking with him. She returned a call once, leaving a voicemail, but then won't respond when I call back or leave messages. In my opinion, don't feel that this ministry is interested in being better stewards of the financial resources the Lord has provided. This is not an isolated incident. I have found their leadership to be generally unresponsive over a period of two or three years. Sad. I wish I could say otherwise.

I went there today to get some stuff. And this man was very racist. Follow me in every owl 1 item 1 item. But he didn't say it to no one else and they were stocking up on a bunch of stuff. I talked to the young lady in the front. She helped me out and I talked to the manager. But it was like the manager was making excuse. All he's volunteering are he's here. Cause he's in a program. That's no way to treat other people. That's coming in to get help to be racist and mystery them. He is a hurt person bitter and everything very nasty.

No success. Was told they will close my case. They don't help kids and single moms. Have tried five months and NOBODY helped!!! Do not go through Denver rescue mission for NOTHING they prioritize everyone else but not yourself!!! They prioritize everyone else. And I come in the last of the list and signed up for the transitional housing. Was told to go here and no one responded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just turned away a lovely couple for their transitional housing. Either because the couple were transgender or because one was on SSDI and considered 100% disabled. What an absolute shame!

I stopped donating to this fraudulent organization. I witnessed 2nd hand of what they do to families in need. A women with a 2 year old child that I referred to go here is now homeless because they denied her security deposit/rental assistance why? because she signed the lease before moving in like every one does for a new apartment!!! She had to give up the potential apartment and now is sleeping in a park with her child, going to work from a park! Until she gets enough money to pay for her own security deposit and 1st month rent. Do not donate here they do not help families, the money goes into their fancy building and rude employees who discriminates and treat people like garbage. I honestly believe they should be closed down. Making false claims to help families in need for money that goes anywhere but to the families in need. I’m sure if she didn’t sign the lease another issue would have arisen. This organization is a joke.

The people who answer the calls and direct calls are extremely rude, give a very bad attitude and don't care about their job. All they care about is a paycheck. My husband tries to call and ask a question about something and the person on the other end just snaps or has a terrible attitude towards him. The place is not very professionally run with people who don't care what happens to you. If you try to get in touch with the person in charge they never call you back or get back with you.

The DRM is the cleanest and most times the most respectful of all shelters in the Denver Metropolitan Area. There are a lot of people that work for them and therefore there is politics. It is a Christian based organization. Yes,for a nonprofit they receive a huge budget. Obviously all funds cant be accounted for but this is reality. They mean well. They help a lot if people and it's all in the name of Jesus. My payers in the name of Jesus go to those who run it, secure it , live in it and support it. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray that all will be good, healthy and safe in all ofthe shelters and people that help all.Godbless!!!
