Here in Durango, they wont let you starve to death, thats for sure. Appointments required two weeks in advance for an uncluttered shopping experience. Thanks Tim, for squeezing me in my first time back in almost a year.

Just not there when you need them, no willingness to be flexible. Not willing to understand and listen to a person. Not willing to deviate from a chart sheet designed 30 years ago. Not mobile, active, or enthusiastic. Not willing to correct an order. Not willing to give you what you need or ask for. Not able to understand staple foods and simple meals. Not able to understand the food industry in America. Not willing to be challenged and adjusted by it. Only feeding a certain type of individual while leaving most people shackled in poverty.

By appointment only now. You are set for an hour slot. For example, you will not receive a time that is on the minute but rather the hour such as 11am to 12pm versus 1115am. When you arrive, you call the Food Bank to alert them to your presence. It is then first come, first served for the those who were assigned that time slot. NO WALK INS. An agent will then,by being socially distant, approach your vehicle to survey your readiness to receive food. After she has assessed your needs you are then directed to wait in your vehicle until a volunteer arrives to deliver your food. I feared this would be a slower process, but it ran so smoothly, with far less wait time, all in the comfort of my own vehicle. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who work so hard to bring us this essential service with such grace while treating their clients with dignity and care.

I didn't get as much food as I thought I would. I didn't even get any meat. I'm grateful for what I did get but it was mainly fruit. In Pagosa, the are so many food banks that will give you an abundance of food. There were a few times i even got lamb chops and steaks there.

They are there when people are in need but they really need someone to structure the food that goes out better. Form meals not just randomly and excessively toss stuff into box so the the majority of it gets thrown out.

Helped me out during a rough spot. I'm very grateful as all should be who eat because of them but I see a few bad reviews to which I ask the question REALLY? Shame on you . It's free food not a five star restaurant . How can you publicly complain and sleep at night?
