In the past they have helped out with emergency rent which was a blessing. To warn you you have a clean background if you are applying for a the housing. They are not felon friendly if anyone was concerned or needs emergency help. Well good luck may you find other assistance for any situation.

This was honest the worst experience I've ever had dealing with the church. I've never been so disrespected and insulted in my life. I came to Colorado to get treatment for alcohol addiction and my bed wasn't ready at the facility I was accepted to. I have epilepsy as well as the negative side effects that come with it. After contacting a church downtown yesterday they told me to come to this facility and I could get some supplies that I need, mainly just pads or undergarments for when I sleep because my medication gives that problem. When I arrived there was a note saying office was closed for Columbus day, which there was no notice of online. I spent my last 3 dollars and took over an hour and a half to get here for the woman to be so rude I literally cried as I walked away. She just kept asking do you need finance or shelter. I said neither, the church said you could help me with donation of necessities. She literally asked me if I could read. I then had to walk with no water , miles to the train station with everything I own and luckily didn't have a seizure because my 02 level got down to 91 by the time I reached the station. I was referred by the church to come here today and went out of my way knowing that the Catholic church would help. Instead I was talked down to and belittled treating people like that , she has no business in the field of public or church "service". I hope God shows her that what she did was wrong. She made a devout Catholic have doubts in this whole diocese. I feel bad for the people that have to deal with her every day. If your door bell records please listen to it. And if you care about your congregations health, you should fill her in on the consequences of turning away someone with a chronic neurological disorder. She could've let me sit down. She could've got me a ticket since you apparently give them to everyone. It was blatant discrimination and / or her just not wanting to do her job. I'm saddened and sickened and like I said, just beyond insulted. That's not how my church treats people.

Zero stars is more like it. I’m an adult adoptee and was charged $1000 in my early twenties for them to open a file and call my bio mom. I guess they think $1000 is appropriate for 1 minute of work. Let’s not forget I was already sold and paid for in full when I was actually adopted. Yes they CHARGED money for me and I saw the receipt. Everything in my file was a lie and the truth was much more tolerable than the made up lies they documented. I was stolen, trafficked, and lied to. Oh and my bio mother was drugged to “make the separation easier”.
Catholic Charities if you’re reading this I deserve an apology, my mother deserves an apology, and you should refund my money. What you did as a religious organization was immoral and I AM A VICTIM.

This place is horrible. They don't help you. They allow people to go in drunk. The staff members be doing drugs with the clients. I can speak from experiencecause. I smoked weed with some of the staff members there. And yet they call this place Catholic charities. This place is called hypocrite

To whom it may concern,

I am contacting you to report that the shelter in which I am residing is in violation of human rights with regards to the air quality. For several months, there has been an ongoing construction project that has resulted in the accumulation of white dust on the ground. Unfortunately, the facility has neglected to clean the floor. The construction worker negligently scattered the greasy debris and filth across the floor. Due to the current residence of the participants, we are regularly exposed to the odor of industrialized dust and materials on a daily basis.

This is the second occurrence that has taken place at this location. Initially, we sought assistance from the pastors to advocate on our behalf, but we were unable to seek aid from anyone this time. The odor is so intense that it is immediately noticeable when entering the back part of the building, where the majority of the residents/participants are situated. I have communicated with the facility supervisor regarding the request to open one of the five garage doors, specifically referred to as the storage door.

However, she has not fulfilled her commitments and consistently attributes the delay to awaiting approval from upper management. I previously discussed the critical nature of this situation, involving life and death, as well as the impact on one's health. I mentioned that I would contact emergency services because of the respiratory distress, but she responded by stating that you are free to voice your grievances to the higher authorities as much as you desire.

I am feeling despairing as I seek assistance from you. I am requesting the manager open one of the five garage doors to facilitate the circulation of fresh air. However, the responses I receive from the manager are characterized by a lack of consideration, carelessness, and inhumanity.

Could you please quickly inspect this shelter facility so that the upper management Julia, Maddy abd Kat or the facility can fully comprehend the severity of this problem? The location of this shelter is 4330 East 48th Ave, Denver Colorado 80216. and I am assigned to Bed 3**

I’m a single parent of 4 my fiancé passed away in January of this year. We have been homeless and I finally found a place and got approved. Just need help with first months rent and I reached out needing help and got no answer no nothing‼️ I love what you guy stand for hope I get lucky soon‼️

I would give no stars if I could. First of all Catholic Charities is under the Archdiocese of Denver. They manage apartments that scrape the bottom of the barrel. Its like living in a 3rd world country. While this may be a step up for some people, its definitely not something that any person who is disabled or elderly should have to put up with. Golden Spike Apts literally changes management every few months. Their website has a picture of a place that looks beautiful and healthy, its a lie. The bedbugs hold conventions there, and the roaches are there indefinitely. They laugh at the exterminators when they decide to come. They say they'll spray your apt, and then have maintenance come, walk around your apt and leave. You need a professional for bedbugs!! This place is INFESTED!!! The residents are at their mercy because some are too old to move or have mental problems. Its very sad. Drug dealers run rampant here. Particularly on the 5th floor. Immigrants and vagrants are allowed to come and go freely, there is no patrol or staff to watch the doors. There is a keypad, but people just wait for a tenant and quickly run in behind them. So if you have elderly or disabled relatives they are in danger. They have had 2 methodone scares where the stuff is in the walls. They have lead in the paint and asbestos but you have to sign a waiver saying you know about it and are deciding to live there anyway. For people coming of the streets this is a step up. But that doesn't make it right. The city of Denver says that the place is unacceptable and uninhabitable living conditions, but the management argues with you and tells you that it is. The management just lies and their license is never revoked. I spoke to the Director over this place a couple months ago from Catholic Charities. She told me she doesn't deal with this stuff. I think her name was Stacy. She was very defensive and cold. I'm just trying to help someone out there, I can't imagine what its like for people who have no advocates, no family, no help, no voice? Its horrible. So why don't these people just move somewhere else? Many are disabled and/or elderly. They have no place to go. Especially with the immigration crisis. There are many homeless americans being pushed out of their homes to make room for others and having to live in deplorable conditions because of it. HUD, Archdiocese of Denver, Denver City and County, they should all be ashamed of this treatment of their most needy citizens all 3 of these agencies should be fined and/or shut down.
