I visit here weekly. I love to pet the cats and dogs every weekend. It's great stress relief for everyone involved. Despite having two cats and two birds, I brought home another cat during an adoption special. He's lovely. I was pleased to learn, litters from feral moms are fostered, after being weaned, for a while to get them used to people. Volunteers and staff are all friendly. The area and grounds are very nice too.

This place was really cool. They have different areas for small dogs and cats vs larger dogs. They had several pens for dogs awaiting adoption. The staff allow you to read a short synopses of the pet with photo and names and allow for you to leash them and walk them. They also had caged areas where the dogs could be let off the leash to interact more directly to potentially interested parties. My wife and I got one named luka that was 5 months old part lab part husky. He was very well behaved. He didn't really bark too much or pull too much while walking around the grassy open. When we reached the play pen he didn't act really aggressive. He was very loving. We paid for the dog and a leash and it ran about 300 dollars or so. I recommend considering your environment before committing. If you don't have a yard or you rent I know a lot of landlords don't allow pets or dogs in particular. The interaction was very simple. The staff was kind and patient.
