Wind youth services has helped me personally transition into permanent housing from being a homeless youth at 18, I am now 23. Although it was a rough period in my life being given free meals, a place to live, laundry services and bus passes made it doable. It is difficult to see a lot of people you meet here struggling with drug addiction or mental health issues returning back to the streets. But If you apply yourself and remain focused it can be life changing. I will forever be appreciative on wind youth and their staff members who saw potential and advocated for me.

Very unprofessional, uneccsary, disrespectful, personal, and cold hearted director, they had a client get wrongfully suspended over an action of a staff, and dishonest claims from the director, she tried to get a client in jail over her false claims and attempt to have animal control take away his service animal, the director is nothing but cold hearted and has an ego to feed. If you are going to donate I recommend anywhere else but here. If you need resources I recommend else where as well. Worst youth center there is.

A young lady during the night shift kicked Alexis Caitlyn Erickson to the curb last night. A type 1 diabetic with autism and plague psoriasis. I dont know her name but I hope she burns in hell and suffers homelessness and losses her job. Alexis Caitlyn Erickson is very sick, keeps to herself and causes no trouble. This place is cruel.

What an incredible group of people! I called in to inquire about volunteer opportunities and donating items to the center. Laura answered the phone and was so knowledgeable and kind! I could easily hear and feel the passion in her voice for what she does everyday! Im sincerely looking forward to volunteering this holiday season! To Laura and the entire staff at Wind, thank you so very much for showing up! For selflessly doing a sometimes thankless job out of the goodness of your hearts! Your impact is very real and you inspire me. Thank you!

Wind youth also allows drugs inside as long as you don't take them to your room. I've seen people come in with coke and pills. Staff would admit that they would do things to mess up my program and nobody did anything about it. It's very corrupt can't trust any system

Disappointment

I really had high hopes for this program as my son was coming out of Job Corp and needed transitional housing. I was told they help with employment, have a zero drug tolerance and will offer low or no rent housing. Fast forward 3 months later. My son has decided not to work, not made to pay rent nor to be held accountable. He and the other residents smokes drugs all day and the housing staff is fully aware as it reeks of drugs when I went to go visit. I notified the director today that enough is enough. They need to stop turning a blind eye and take ownership of the issues. Its sad these guys are coming to a program to get help and instead are being enabled to continue negative behavior.

This is an amazing place for struggling youth. Perfect for hiding from the weather or grabbing a meal. They have recliners to nap in, a room full of clothes, as well as plenty of resources for housing and employment. There's even a doctor that comes in regularly. If you really need help, this is the place to get it. Best of luck.
