My experience is negative due to the dysfunction within the new pastor and his wife. I, like half the congregation, left that place that Senior Pastor Jim and his lovely wife Elaine, who started the meetings in their home, retired after 40 years of serving the growing congregation. Pastor Jim wrote his own sermones. He did not need to use other more accomplished pastors' material. Like myself, back then during the transición, a former member expressed my feelings: "I sense demonic prescence in this place." I agreed. Half of the congregation left that place. Then the pastor fired all the faithful elders, like Donald Trump did, Gregg's presidencial choice. Sad but true. And there is much more dysfunction I choose not to mention.

This is not a mega church. Everyone here will know you by your name. Mostly an older crowd. Very loving people. If you want an intimate church, then this is the place for you. Everyone is welcome here. The sermons are through the Bible, book by book, and chapter by chapter with lots of extra activities and fun events like tea parties, bbqs, and movie nights.

I would like to personally invite you to attend morning service at 9 am each Sunday morning and Wednesday night at 7 pm. Bible teaching, Bible study groups, kids ministries. There is something for everyone. Jesus loves you and so do we, please come join us, you won't be disappointed.

They need a more people friendly pastor. I personally don't feel the connection to the Lord's word (deep in my soul)since jim stepped down. Very saddened. Still LOVE JESUS AND CALVARY CHAPEL.

Love this church I had to move to Los Alamitos but I go back up church as much as I can. The people are such Loveing and lovely people
