My experience at The American Cancer Society Discovery Shop was less than zero. It is like a choose your own adventure story, but as a shopping experience. Upon arriving, there were two sets of doors, both doors open, both entryways filled with clutter. No signage is posted stating which is the entrance. Unable to tell the difference I chose door on the left. Spoiler alert, it was the wrong door. The only discovery I made at this shop was by choosing the wrong open door you will have an elderly woman with a buzz cut shouting in your face “NO! NO! NO!” as if you were one her cats and you just entered her “looking room”

To the woman who did this to me, I hope you find God. I will be praying for you, asking that you be healed so you never feel compelled to shout in a persons face for making a simple mistake again. And for the courage and strength to create and post signage for your shop. Bless

Staff are kind and helpful. I didn't leave empty handed. To bring more customers in they should really consider lowering merchandise price items down. I know the Money is for a good cause though. I like the Store and it's fun to look around.

This coffee table was already purchased by some one who got it at $18 with %50 off. Lucky shopper. I got a sweet ottoman however. This is my favorite thrift store.

I love to support the American Cancer Society Discovery Shops. Roseville, Folsom, Sacramento and Elk Grove. My favorite to shop at and donate. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable and love what they do. The prices may be higher than other resale shops but the quality of merchandise reflects that. Think about the programs you are supporting when you shop at one of these shops. And who hasn’t been affected by cancer.
When I travel around California I always look for an American Cancer Society Discovery Shop!

One cannot help but smile when entering this store. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The store is full of surprises! It is said that one man's trash is another man's treasure, but there are only treasures that bring joy to the buyer's heart! From great books, videos, CD's, clothing and accessories to stuff for guys!
Just a great little store that helps others! You have to visit and look!

By far one of my favorite places. Everyone is always very nice and helpful, and their inventory is always something new and fun. I've been able to find things from my acoustic guitar to costume jewelry here. Absolutely would recommend.

The staff is fine, but their few items are overpriced, and I almost always walk out empty handed. A store with items often lacking price labels indicates to me that they don't care about selling their merchandise. Even if there are more staff than customers, it is still very annoying!

This is the best resale store there is! It looks like a boutique. All the proceeds benefit fighting cancer and I love that about it. They have all designers and lots of high quality items and great prices. All of the workers are volunteers so even more of your dollar goes to fund cancer research. I recommend this Discovery Shop wholeheartedly.
