Do not waste your time and money banking with Sierra Central Credit union. They do not value their customers and will take advantage of you. I can see why they have terrible reviews online. Plenty of repudiable and trust worthy credit unions out there but not Sierra Central they are low and fraudulent

I still haven't been answered yet and I've been on hold for 24 minutes they don't care about you here just go somewhere else trust me..... after the dots this is an update to my review I ended up on hold for 46 minutes ive learned 100 percent they don't care since i ended the call called back as a new costumer by hitting 6 and within 2 minutes got ahold of someone who took care of what I needed in less than an additional 3 minutes whole phone call 5 minutes. Super quick. Would give a 2 star but since they don't care enough to answer in the first place negative 5 sadly not an option

It was my first time going in the branch and I was greeted by alida she was very nice and super helpful it was the best experience I’ve had at a credit union

I've had Sierra Central for over 1 year now, and all I can say is.. it would be nice if they took out the payment on the payment date, not 4-5 days later... makes it a real inconvenience. Especially when my payment in due on the 20th, yet comes out on the 30th... going to trade my car in because I'm literally done with these dumb frauds here at sierra central.

They should rename themselves the credit union of many fees and underhanded charges.

I really thought the credit union was doing a better job of getting rid of hidden fees and its processing lag that ruins your budgeting. This is the shadiest credit union that I’ve dealt with and on top of it all, it blocks purchases from trusted sellers like Amazon and Valve and forces to me to call in and tell the customer service that the purchases are clearly legit. You’d think after 100 times of shopping on the same site, some sort of algorithm would recognize that the purchases are coming from vetted companies. Tons of red tape. You’ll find your card is always being locked for the dumbest crap that isn’t fraud like shopping at a Walmart within your own city twice in a day while never flagging the times when it is actual fraud. Just go to Golden 1 or BofA. They really care about the customers and set up OD protections by using the purchases you make and taking out the difference in change. IE, 20$ on a 19.73 purchase would put 27 cents into the account. So if something does happen by accident, you have a safety net. This place will rob your dry and drain thousands of dollars from your account with absurd fees.

Don’t bank here. Punitive and not very accommodating a lot of hidden fees. I regret giving them my business. I’ve been with them
One month and I’m definitely already looking to refinance elsewhere.

15 minute minute call wait time, which wouldn’t be bad if I had actually received the help I called for. Apparently you can only get anything done with this bank if you go in person- and the options you have to begin with are limited and they don’t seem to know a lot about those options? It’s your job Happy holidays.

Would give less stars if I could, financed a trailer through them 8 months ago and it has been the worst experience and customer service I've ever dealt with. We waited almost an hour to be helped when we already had an appointment scheduled, we were charged a $600 fee for not having the Bank's name listed on our insurance, we've had a late fee even though we made the payment early (they increased the monthly premium without notifying us), and the employees on the phone genuinely have zero concern for their customer's issues. Stay away if you like good customer service.
