I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chabad of Bakersfield and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The rabbi and his family are truly exceptional people - kind, energetic, and always willing to go above and beyond to make visitors feel welcome.

The synagogue itself is a beautiful and peaceful space, perfect for quiet contemplation and prayer. But the real highlight for me was the holocaust memorial - it is an absolute must-see. The display of six million buttons is incredibly moving, and a powerful reminder of the atrocities of the past.

Very nice building, friendly Rabbi.
The new Holocaust display with 6 million buttons representing the 6 millions Jews lost is not only impressive but also a humbling experience.
It's definitely worth visiting and spending some time there, sitting by the beautiful new area with the water fountain, peaceful greenery and the display.
It's a must to visit, soul searching and reflecting.

If you find yourself in the city of Bakersfield, or surroundings, do not hesitate to pay the Chabad House a visit. This place is amazing, and the Sliach there is one of a kind; generous, fun and very, very... well, chabadnik. Make sure you also have a look at the Holocaust memorial they've erected there. It's very insightful.

Wow! We got stuck in Bakersfield while on a road trip.
The rabbi and His family took us in, gave us lunch and took care of us literally a home away from home

They put on great events for every holiday. Rabbi has a good voice and spirit for song. Amazing shabbat dinners. They can provide everything you need for the passover sedar.

Even though I'm not Jewish I visit there from time to time with my Jewish friend Joy Spicer and they always have made me feel welcomed. I've also learned about the bible with the many celebrations of life they have. I love going there.
