The property:
Beautiful Venue, this property is a historical building, it is over 100 years old, and located in downtown Bakersfield. It has a lot of original architecture and windows. This property is ran by a local non profit, so your money is actually going right back into our community when you rent this space, which is definitely something you can be happy about. Can accommodate up to 150 people, and also has a beautiful outdoor area to accommodate guests. Lots of street parking available in the front and the side of the building. Full kitchen, and large bathrooms with stalls and some toiletries included. There is a quaint lounge room off to the side of the entry door with full wall mirror, chairs and a couch, perfect for getting ready, or just hanging out. Large open widows allows for plenty of light through out this venue.

The Staff: Veronica originally assisted me with securing the property for use. Showed me around the property, and gave me the keys, codes, and let me know Gabby would be my main contact for anything I needed. Gabby set up an air conditioning schedule so the it would kick on for us before we arrived and would turn off when we left. She accommodated our every need, and was very responsive throughout our use of the property. Super friendly staff!

For Business Use: Our company utilized this space weekly for several month due to limited space at our school sites. We downsized during the pandemic and no longer had space to train our new hires. I reached out to several businesses within the community to see if they could help donate their space to us temporarily, and JLB was the only one willing to assist us in our time of need. We educate and care for Autistic and Intellectually Disabled adults and children. JLB really supported us and our clients through a tough time, and we can not thank them enough. We used their space weekly about 3-4 days a week for 4 hours at a time, and never had any issues. Thank you for giving back to our community and all your business does!

I’ve been to this house a few times for fundraisers like Oktoberfest, Holiday Market and the Mother’s Day Tea. I’ve had a great time at each event. You can tell the house has been newly renovated and the courtyard is nicely kept. Each event is decorated differently, which I think is cool. It’s never the same.
The bathrooms are nice too and I noticed there is a kitchen with multiple ovens and fridges for caterers.
It’s a truly beautiful building which I’m sure has tons of history behind it.
I don’t have a need for a space yet, but would consider this location for a baby shower or something. Parking is easy too!
Oh, and my mom won a $150 bottle of wine at the Mothers Day Tea so best believe we’ll be back!

I started planning my wedding day in February of 2017. I went to many different venues and not one caught my eye or gave me the “Wow” factor. I knew I wanted an outside wedding and I wanted something small and intimate. I have a really big family and so does my husband but we knew we wanted only immediate family. Although the Junior League can hold around 200 guest (max) I still booked with Dion. I planned on having around 150 guest but as the wedding date got closer, more and more guest were being added to the guest list. I was getting stressed out because I did not want the venue to be too “small” to accommodate our guest. Our wedding day was April 14, 2018 and we had around 175 guest. It was perfect. Dion was on top of every Lil detail and did not show any frustration after a few disadvantages that occurred during the wedding. Dion was always professional and did his best to respond to my every text message and request. The only downside was that I did not have enough seating for my guest during dinner which was a bummer but no one complained or made a fuss about it. Every picture came out perfect because there are many beautiful areas around the Junior Leage to take pictures. I would definitely recommend Dion to all my family and friends. My wedding day was so amazing and perfect and my guest could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was. Thank you Dion for sharing your venue with my husband and I.

My daughter and I went to the Junior League to measure the pillars, windows, and to look over the building and court yard to figure out how she wants the decorations and such for her wedding in December. The building is 120 years old and still has some of it's original features. Beautiful!

Really Nice Venue. We enjoyed using the outdoor space for a breakout session of fun games.

Awesome place . I had the privilege to play drums and mix sound for a wedding here . Had to travel from LA to there and the place is just beautiful.
