So, my ex husband is abusive and harassing me even though he has a restraining order against me (long story but this instance it was completely inappropriate, he put hands on me first.) and my social worker advised me to come to this place to get a RO against him.

I get there, tell her the story, and because he was the first to talk to the cops, they refused to give me any assistance. Only general advice. The situation is actually very common where the actual victim is the one who's made to look like the perpetrator, because the abusers know we protect them and use the legal system to further abuse us.

It's grimey bc this place is aware of the issue but refuse to help anyone listed as a defendant. If we already know better, we should do better.

I can say Amy is far more than the best advocate for helping me gain knowledge and guiding me what I need to do in life. Most of staff that I have spoke with so far have helped me.There was no money involved ,there was help to take actions and effort has to be made by one itself.

Staff is rude disorganized and lazy will not do anything except hand you forms that you cant print off your home computer. No compassion for victims either they just want money

No compassion for the victims! They give you false promises. They will use you to get what they want then drop you and you will never hear from them again!
