Fantastic child centered experience! The cafe food was so healthy, clean and delicious! We were so impressed with the gorgeous flowers all around the park.

The Jolly Trolly train was the highlight for our infant. It’s really magical for ages 2-8/9, but adults and older siblings can really get joy from reading and helping littles understand the stories.

You can bring your own picnic in as well. And there are many spacious areas to sit and eat and let kids run around.

It was a wonderful experience.

Fairyland is a great little amusement park for children between 2-8 years old. The attractions and rides are mostly based on known fairy tales, from Mother Goose stories to Alice in Wonderland. At each attraction, children can listen to a short version of the fairytale from a speaker box, activated with a collectable key (3$). Attractions include a puppet theater, a train ride, a child sized ferris wheel, a carousel, numerous slides, and live animals. The park opened in 1950 and has been a popular attraction ever since. There is a restaurant on site, as well as picnic tables.

Not sure when they opened but we got there at 1:00pm on a weekend and it was hard to find parking which costs 5.00. make sure you bring water bottles there are plenty of places to fill up. Even with an infant we had a really good time here but I definitely recommend having a kid 2-8 here. The food was nutritious and yummy with little waste. There were a couple story time and puppet shows to enjoy during the heat of the day. The details in this little park are really plentiful. HIGHLY recommend. We can't wait to go back when baby girl is older. A true treasure in the heart of Oakland.

We had our sons birthday party here in January and it was awesome! Fairyland is what 4 year dreams are made of. The whole park is thoughtfully designed with little ones in mind. We reserved the Japanese Tea Garden Picnic area and paid extra for a balloon bouquet & keys for the kids. Worth every penny. So easy for us parents and the kids had a blast. Parking was easy for guests (we gave our guests a heads up about the $5 parking fee) and our party coordinator met our guests outside and escorted them to our zone. Our party was during Lunar New Year so we even got to see the dragon dancers - so cool!! Highly recommend!

Good fun for the whole family. My four year old had a ball here and there was so much to see and interact with that we didn’t make it to every attraction over 3 hours. He especially liked the carousel and Ferris wheel. The ticket value is reasonable given that once you pay a flat rate and enter, no nickel and dime experiences, just enjoy the park.
The park was in good shape with very few exhibits closed for updates.

What a joke. It'd be funny if it weren't so expensive. We paid $16 per person (so $48 for my wife, my 3 year old, and myself). It's so incredibly run down. The train wasn't even working. A nice (free!) playground is 100x better. At least there's stuff to do in a playground. The talking boxes scattered around don't have buttons, but rather they require a "magic key" to be inserted which costs $3 to buy. The audacity to charge even more just to listen to the boxes. And then they even ask for them back once you exit the park!

I'm shocked this place still exists. Are we all so desensitized to being ripped off? People, just let it go and stop coming here. Incredible...

We're here a lot since we got our membership and we don't live far, the staff are consistently welcoming, friendly, and efficient. There's always some cool activities going on, and my toddler is never bored no matter how many times we go and do the same things over and over and over again 🤣 toddlers do love their repetition 🤷 the snacks at bean sprouts are so adorable and creative, I order the kids menu items for myself because of how fun they are😅 and with my membership I get a 20% discount 🥳🥳 I also love that they have a designated quiet area for kids or parents who get overstimulated and need a quiet spot to rest. It's a pretty great place for parents of younger kids 🙌🙌

I have brought children in my family to Fairyland for over 40 years. It has always been a delightful experience until last month.
I was so excited to share, what was once a magical experience, with my great nephew. I was sadly disappointed.
Weeds choke every imaginable surface; staff are dismissive and uninterested; it is badly in need of a fresh coat of paint and many “exhibits” ate closed or in shambles. The animals look dirty, sad and ill cared for.
Worst of all, perhaps, while sitting in this dismal environment, a RAT ran across my path!!!! I am SO disappointed in the mess that Children’s Fairyland has become!!!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! It needs to be CLOSED DOWN NOW!!!!
