This is a volunteer site, the company I work for gives our PBS (People being served) an opportunity to give back to the community, they love helping, they add grocery items into bags for those in need!

I have come to this Salvation Army location for over years now for a variety of reasons and appreciate the services they offer freely.

On my recent trip I went to get a box of food. The staff weren't the friendliest but they probably often deal with people that annoy them (or the 1 female asian office employee just doesn't like or appreciate her job).

The other office lady was really nice but her response to my request for some sort of flyer (stating what they offer and on what days) surprised me. She said they didn't have one but she said she is working on it.

What had surprised me was that when I said what organization I was a part of, she actually stated "they should all know this already".

I thought that was insensitive and very presumptuous since a) new employees wouldn't know & b) I don't memorize every schedule of all the places I go to or refer people to for assistance and wouldn't expect anyone else to (hence the need for printed materials).

It is for that reason they only get 4 stars.

And the reason I took the time to write this is in hopes that they will read this review and learn from it.

Horrible!! Me and my friends went to get a little food and ended up throwing 90% of it away because everything except the can food was out of date expired and all the bread we got was moldy. I'll never go there again. How dare they ask for donations and give out food like that? I've always given them money during the holidays. I won't be doing that again either.

Worst place to come. No one came when we knocked and we tried to get the red cart with wheels to place our donation bags that we wanted to give and this man comes out being so rude. There was another lady who wanted to drop things as well. If you want to leave donations try another place where they appreciate donations. This is not a drop off place. Looks like they want people to call and they only expect a limit amount of bags. Try another place that are more kind.

This place treats everyone with respect. Their staff is warm, friendly and caring. They serve breakfast for the homeless to turoring kids after school. Great place to get involved with. They serve without discrimination.

Very friendly people. Dropped off many bags filled with great clothes. The stagg was very helpful and sent us off with goodies.
