Everyone working there was so kind, respectful, and had smiles. They made me feel welcome and I left with a beautiful amount of healthy food for my mother and I. If you have the patience, this place is for you when low on funds and in need of nutrition."

Apparently you can donate produce and food items at the midtown River City Food Bank from Monday to Thursday; 9am to 1pm. As you can see from my photos they’re always closed, and you get a pre-recorded message on the phone. It’s also NOT clear to anyone that food donations are made at the side of the building at what appears to be a fire exit door. This door is always locked. There’s no food barrel outside to place donated items inside. There’s no door buzzer and the number listed for questions & inquiries goes straight to voicemail! Thanks so much for making it so easy to donate food?! Utter shambles! 🥴

Most the volunteers are very kind and they hand a good amount of healthy variety of foods. The wait lines can be long but the company does their best to place the lines in the shade or offering shade coverage or misters in one of their locations. If you need healthy food and are having financial difficulties I highly recommend them.

I appreciate to see everybody in line for the food. Please send more food like snacks and juices for everybody that's in the line. Thank you for the volunteers to help when need to.

This organization receives a lot of government funding to deliver the donations they are given by companies in good faith. Most of the staff are excellent at their jobs, and they serve the public with kindness an respect. Sylvia is the exception. Sylvia is rude, disrespectful and nasty. Sylvia gives this team a very bad image.

Today was the first day in months since I've visited this Food Bank. As always when needed they are there for the Community. My family received enough healthy and usable food for meals. I am very Appreciative of this Group. I am a local in Sacramento, I braid hair and have a part time job it isn't enough to support a family at times.

Thankful for the work they do for our community. Sometimes you needs little help and the volunteers at RCFB are there for you. You never know you will receive. Getting there early and waiting in line helps get a greater variety but you can always count on fruits, vegetables and canned goods along with salads, sometimes meat and/or dairy. And hats off to their partners who donate the food that they bring to the "masses".
