This shelter doesn’t look to help people that they think don’t “qualify” for their help.

If you don’t have an ID they won’t give you food even if you tell them you’re starving and see you with your child. They’re very condescending and mask it with acting nice.

I’ve applied twice and both times they have denied me.
Why? Idk

Why don’t I know? Because when I asked they said “idk you just weren’t chosen.”

I don’t recommend this place to anyone. They’re very fake and pretend to want to help. You’re better off sleeping in your car than trying to get help from these ppl

I thank God for this helpful place, I go to Foothill family shelter as often as I need I am not ashamed. They have helped me with diapers , canned goods, fruits and vegetables if they have any. They also help me with some tampons and some hygiene products. I appreciate everyone who works and volunteers here!! They really do make a difference in people’s lives more than they know. I sometimes feel so embarrassed and ashamed that I have can not afford basic necessities such as groceries or diapers but even a little pack and some extra tooth paste goes a long way for someone who pinches pennies to try and have everything they need for our children and ourselves.

A Shelter that helps homeless families to stay for 120 days for Free, to help get you back on your feet. BUT they don't help everyone, they're very selective regardless if you have children & homeless, so it's a 50/50 chance. They prefer if you have a job . They only help those who they see worthy in their eyes. They don't care about the people. They denied me & my kids knowing we were going to be homeless the next month. You have to fill out an application & you'll be interviewed based on it.
They also provide basic needs like: Food, clothing, diapers/wipes, & hygiene products. (Cities they cover: Claremont, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Pomona, Montclair, & Upland).

I want someone to respond to all these negative reviews asking why after meeting all criteria you deemed their familes not worth helping or even worth your 2 minutes of precious time to inform them on what led to the denial. You'll have to answer to a higher power if you believe that sort of stuff. And I hope they look you in your eye and demand answers you refuse to give so many families. We are human beings, my heart beats just like yours, I feel hunger just like you, I love my family just as you do. Remember it could be your pregnant daughter who becomes homeless next and I pray someone actually helps them like you refused to do .

I’m in the 120 day program. This place is amazing they provided me and my daughter with a 2bd 1bth apartment. They hook us up with groceries hygiene diapers and wipes and everything we need for the house...... and little gifts like toys games and shoes for my baby....occasionally even stater brothers gift cards. I have my own case manager working with me to help me be successful and a therapist to help me work through my traumas and anxiety. They offer classes and work shops that actually prepare you to be self sufficient. I pay nothing all they ask is that I save at least 50% of my income. It feels so great to actually be getting the support I needed and to be trusted and treated with dignity and respect. There was a screening process and a drug test- but at the end of the day this ain’t no depressing homeless shelter..... this is more like A motivational transitional housing program. So blessed to have this opportunity!!! - oh and they do help the community with food diapers wipes hygiene and they have really good stuff. When I first came here to apply for the shelter program they gave me a whole package of diapers and wipes (name brand) food and snacks for me and the baby. The staff gave us cold bottles of water cuz we were walking......they were so kind they even gave a me and my daughter masks the cute cloth ones, and put chairs outside for us to sit in the shade. Great people ❤️

I called ahead of time to see if they were a food bank and when I got there the ladies were super friendly. My girls were happy to meet them (my daughters are not too friendly) . We left with food, snacks, diapers and wipes. Their thrift shop is also one of our favorites to shop at even more so knowing every penny goes to their program. GREAT JOB TAKING CARE OF THE COMMUNITY!!!
