Hume SoCal - Green Valley Lake, California

I have been to Hume Socal the last two years as a 7th and 8th grader. I think that the camp is a wonderful expeirience to grow closer to God and hang out with your friends. It's also a great opportunity to make new friends from other churches in California. Last year the girls from my church all stayed in a cabin. The cabin was nice. It was very big and had a lot of room to store luggage and stuff. The bathrooms were clean too. The boys from our church had to stay in tents. I don't know much about their expirience other than one boy found a cockroach in his sleeping bag. Keeping that in mind, our church requested that we all get put in cabins this year. The boys got a cabin but the girls were put in two seperate tents. The showers were in a trailer and the bathrooms were dirty. There were lots of holes in the tent which meant a lot of bugs. However, I did enjoy the tents because I feel like last year the cabin was so big, I didn't really get to know all the girls in my cabin. I don't even know all of their names. This year the tent was small so I got to know the girls in my tent better. The sixth grade girls were in another tent so I didn't get to know them as well. The worship band this year was fantastic. I think having several hours of free time was great because if I wanted to go to the lake but my friend wanted to go to the snack shack we would have time for both. There are alot of in camp tournements that you get a chance to play in such as ping pong, basketball, gaga ball etc. The food was okay. It was camp food. The snack shop was fun. Always a lot of people hanging out there. The staff is super nice. Over all a great place to go with your church.

This place was by far the most beautiful retreat I have ever been too! EVERYONE WAS SO NICE! Not to mention the food was absolutely amazing! The staff took great care of us and the cabins! There is so much to do and so much to see! The views are gorgeous everywhere you go! I highly recommend this place. ?

I went there for a forestry retreat/challenge and overall it was a very fun opportunity and expiernce. The food is not the best in my opinion, and the shower situation is definitely not what I'm used to. The camp is very beautiful and scenic. There is lots of fun activities to do with friends, and opportunities to make new friends.

My daughter recently went to Hume. She had an incredible time and asked to go again next year.

She had an amazing time with her youth group playing in the lake, hiking and spending time at the campfire. Everything on physical lever was great!

But most importantly….

She is entering Junior High, and our family has been praying that God would captivate her heart. Hume was an excellent platform for that encounter. She told me that she recommitted her life to Christ and got baptized after hearing the messages from chapel all well.

I’m thankful for the wonderful spiritual environment as well as the beautiful natural environment that she was surrounded in while there. Worth every penny! Looking forward to next year!!

If you are from SoCal, this is the camp for you! A little piece of Hume in the southern area of Cali. Your kids and teens will love all the activities offered like zip lining, archery, and the super cool cove. Most importantly, they will receive teaching from hand-selected pastors, trusted to deliver God’s word through the Spirit. Don’t forget about recreation! Because SoCal will be coming up on only three years of operation this summer, don’t think it won’t be fun. It is directly inspired by Hume Lake, with exceptional staff to give campers the best recreation experience they could imagine.

Influence Church had their first Men's Conference this year. The theme was Men of Valor. To keep it simple: the space had everything we needed and lives were changed.

Thank you to all of the employees that made this possible and us.

Showers were a bit cold but that is probably the only feedback I would give. Everything else is honestly great.

My kid have a blast at Hume SoCal as a camper. I went as a camp counselor and also had a blast. The staff was very helpful and the planned activities were very fun.
The special guest speaker was very engaging.
