Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to receive any type of help from Catholic Charities. I reached out desperately, and it seemed as if Stephanie just took my request for help with a grain of salt. She states she went above and beyond because she made a phone call that she didn’t plan on making to the Corporate Office of my apartment complex as my apartment manager advised her to do so. I see this as Stephanie doing her job. Stephanie dropped the ball when it came to helping me with rental assistance. Even though I did my part on all ends, I called the Corporate Office of my apartment to make sure they could sign the terms of rental assistance. Stephanie never called them even when I told her they would sign it, I called several times to the corporate office of my apartments. They advised me she never called, she never sent the documents, And basically she just gave up on helping me
Since she already went "above, and beyond", according to her. Now I’m being evicted, I’m going to be homeless with my 13-year-old son with no family around to help me, and I’m still in the same boat of struggling because Stephanie feels she fulfilled her duty. When I asked her to speak to the supervisor, she went back-and-forth with me arguing with me talking over me , and still refused to allow me to speak to anyone other than herself. I feel this is a common practice for this facility because when I’ve called and spoken to someone else, all I got was an attitude. They don’t follow up they don’t call back and now I’m gonna be homeless in a matter of days. if the Director of this organization was aware of how things were going, shame on him, and if he doesn’t know, I hope he reads this to see that due to negligence on Stephanie‘s part, half tasking her job and failing me and my son. It’s already humiliating to have to ask for help, and then, to be bypassed feels even worse. I explained to Stephanie, I have no family nearby, I am completely isolated, and I left a very abusive marriage that I am trying to recover from mentally, and financially, so that I wouldn’t be killed due to domestic violence, and so my son wouldn’t have to witness it any longer. I walk away from this organization, extremely hurt, and disappointed Because the job that was promised to be fulfilled was never executed. This being “Catholic“ Charities, I Realize that even a church, or religious organization lacks integrity. I hope you’re able to read this, Stephanie Reyes..

Always When I visit this office I'm treated with all respect. Whether it be for any of the services that they provide. Just wish that they would organize their Food Bank much more adequately. So that food is distributed evenly in all food categories. But overall thankful for the little assistance that is given to those of us that are in need.
