Located in the beautiful town of Fortuna, with its hard working members the CCC makes the state and community proud! Their stewardship of nature is a labor of love. Great group young women and men whose work ethic makes them stand apart. I am most impressed.

Excellent program. A place to learn, grow and push yourself while working in some of the most beautiful locations California has to offer. I would recommend this program to anyone seeking a positive direction change in their life.

I was in the C's in 1994/1995 was the best experience I ever had. Susan was the best Xo ever. So sad I believe his name was John, passed away due to carbon monoxide poisoning while being in the satellite program. I remember the little parties we had across the street epic bonfires. Was a prize for all of the hard work we did Rebuilding the spawning grounds for salmon. And the Oil spill specialist/ Hazmat Certification program. Wow! What a trip.

Can't believe what I'm seeing. Was so long ago in my life. Wish I saved my journal . All I can remember is " Hard work , Low pay , Miserable conditions . " Too bad , such Beautiful country. Such a defining time in my miserable life .

Pretty great program but it's hard conditions and isn't for the week, but it could be better like not having to wake up so early because loosing sleep is not ok in any circumstances
