They are terrible here at the ER in Oakdale. They don't even get your insurance then bill you. They treat you like crap. Only 1 good nurse on duty out of at least 10 different ones. Listened to one lady/nurse talk about her personal business and not getting time off. Just unprofessional. They also never find the issue of what we checked in for. It's like a waste of time. I'm glad we haven't died yet.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL unless you absolutely have to. They are ridiculous. They give bare minimum care but charge an insane amount… example: $225 for gauze & gauze wrap. Not to mention you’ll literally be waiting forever - the staff is rude and doesn’t communicate with each other.

I had a dog bite with fat hanging out and they tried to shove it back in with TWEEZERS UNSUCCESSFULLY then charged $205 for a suture removal set that probably cost at most $10.

Though the care I received here was fine, and the staff were generally friendly (hence two stars), my experience after with the billing process was incredibly frustrating. Leaving voicemails only, if you're not in a private place when they call you back days later, tough, re-enter the que. Endlessssss spam texts for payment plans, etc. I wanted to pay it in full via the hospital. I don't know what mobility limited individuals or elderly who can't use internet do for billing options when dealing with this mess. Don't necessarily blame staff, hospital should better support staff to reduce overwhelm and enable better service or rework payment education or something idk because there has to be better options than what I experienced.

My daughter went to the ER yesterday there at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale ca they refused to see my daughter. They told her without insurance they cannot see her. It’s an emergency room you’re supposed to see everybody. That’s why it’s called the hospital, but they refuse my daughter. My daughter went to Memorial Hospital. She was diagnosed with bronchitis so she went from the city of Oakdale all the way to Modesto very ill all because Oak Valley Hospital refused to see her.

They take forever is there even a doctor on shift I've been there 4 times and have done nothing but wait for so long that I end up leaving after 4 hours in the waiting room or just waiting for a doctor never seen one in my four visits. One star because that's the lowest it can go what can you really rate somebody who charges you to sit in the waiting room and get your blood pressure done multiple times nothing else and sent back out

I am glad I didn't stay for er treatment after reading some of these reviews and the brief exchange I had at the er reception. I went in there cause I live in oakdale and had a growing and painful mass on my thigh. They refused to admit me because I wasn't an emergency and when I asked if there's any urgent care close by they flippant shrugged and said modesto they guess. This was after the receptionists attitude when I asked her for help giving me a condescending "this is the er". I ended up going to kaiser er for my insurance and found out I had a large abcess that was about to rupture.

Never going to oakdale hospital again.

My mother went into this hospital with severe pain in spine, hip, and leg. She waited around for almost 4 hours in the waiting room before her name was called. They took her into a different waiting room. After 2 hours in that room she was not visited once by a nurse or doctor. She left after 6 hours with no service. This hospital is an absolute joke, they did nothing to help her. I would give 0 stars but I’m forced to give at least 1.

Had a procedure that required I stay overnight. All staff was courteous, knowledgeable and very caring! I had a great experience.
