First & for most this place makes a very good & valuable resource for all & any civilians livn in this small city we all call Porterville, a bed is given 2 u, shower, food, roof over ur head, & u even have the liberty to get up daily to go job hunt'n so u can get back on ur feet, now that the pros have been well established lets talk about this facility as a whole, (GANGS) whether it's Tulare County Jail or State Penitentiary politics r here, the drop outs & even active gang members here will get in ur face & state their "set" tryn 2 bang on u, calln u out to start fights & all in front of staff members with ZERO INTERVENTION, I tried address'n this to "Don" or "Dona" forgot her name she's the Manager of this facility & let me tell u, her only concern was to have ZERO CONCERN of such toxic incidents, she was quick to be "ok" with this type of behavior being promoted in their. Next is the roommate/housing issue, I addressed this to staff that it isn't a smart choice to house both MALE & FEMALE together, well they got pretty annoyed just hearing me bring it up well, what happen rite the next day? Dude came in the shelter HIGH on HEROIN & tried to have his way with his chick, & wen he couldn't get none from her, he tried his luck with another female in the room, going on her bed, touching on her legs, she did a good job & stormed out GOOD FOR HER, I even had an older White Lady tryn 2 climb up in my bed late at night, I addressed her quick & she jumped back on her bed, c these things aren't supposed 2 be happen'n, but when Dona gets informed, she gets all pissed & don't fix a thing so I knew I couldn't tell her anything anymore, what a great idea let's house the homeless so they can RE-POPULATE & welcome newborns to a great start with strong financially & independent "Parents". Now the drugs, your going to experience an excessive amount of sum of the people that stay their smoke allot of weed & all in front of the gate & the staff be cool with this, sniffing coke & the staff be cool with it, slam'n heroin & the staff be chill with it, drinkn beer outside or comin back DRUNK OFF THEIR A**, if I were a staff member I'd b making sure our facility was being run smooth & accordingly, yes drug free & domestic violence free including free of gang activity (ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY) how do people expect to get "help" if they DONT WANT THE HELP?! Last but not least people's way of life here is always at jeopardy, last time I checked we all have the right to live how we CHOOSE TO, whether ur STRAIT, GAY, BI, ETC we all have the right 2 FREEDOM OF CHOICE, with that being said RESPECT including BOUNDERIES is always of the ESSENCE, there was this guy their who would always follow me around, if I I'd move to the right side of the building to be alone, he'd come just 2 keep an eye on me, if I came to the left of the building to be alone, he'd come to follow & be at distant only 2 watch me, I'd go 2 my bed & lay down & always made it abundantly clear I want 2 b alone, I need to relax & un-wine, he would always want it 2 lead n2 a "conversation" so at that point he became annoying, I can't tell staff or Dona cuz they'd always automatically disagree, I grabbed a hot sauce in the morning & the whole time he was watchn me, & asks for the sauce, I told him again to stop follown me around, but dude just found it funny, I put the sauce in the table 4 him & walked away, staff later tried to say I was very "aggressive" & "scary" dude I want him 2 leave me alone, I hav the right 2 be alone if I want 2 b alone & away from people who keep follow'n me around, Dona once again tried to accuse me of "attacking" the gay dude, man I laughed inside & told her to show me the proof, she didn't want to cuz she knew she was full of it, I tried to show her all my evidence but she kept saying "Were not gona do this u need 2 exit now." Sum dudes their will try & come up 2 u & say "What, what's up?!" tryn 2 start sum, just ignore their negative vibes, know wen u shine it off, those guys run 2 staff & complain that ur anti-social & ignored them, b careful peps.
