After nearly two years of attendance, our family decided to try out other Bay Area churches for English mass. The problem is the pastor, Fr. Augusto Villote, whose incoherent and rambling Sunday sermon is extremely difficult to understand. Definitely, he needs a speech therapist and an English tutor to be heard and understood.

He thinks he can just ‘wing it’ each week. Sermons are food for the souls, and priests should put time, energy and passion to prepare them. Regrettably not with this pastor.

Decide for yourself, this happened to me as a child at this school. I went to school here, ( 1-8 grade) I was a talkative child. I had a teacher that put me in the back cloakroom closet, not the cloakroom, but the closet (measured about 4x4), in the cloakroom .. desk and all, in the dark, without a light on. This happened everyday I went to school for about a week. One day, when the class went out to recess, the teacher didn't come to let me out, the class left for recess and forgot about me in closet. After I realized it was quiet in the classroom( no talking), I came out. I seen that everybody was gone, I was alone....... I stayed in the classroom. When my classmates and teacher returned, the teacher looked at me and said, " oh, I forgot about you!" She sent me back to the tiny closet !!! PTSD ? Ya think? Abuse? Ya think?

Beautiful inside and outside . A bit cold inside but that is to be expected when the chapel doors are open for business and being that Daly City has weather that is usually colder than the rest of the bay area

Attended OLPH Novena Mass which was offered for the repose of soul of my adopted cousin. Covid protocol was in place while keeping the solemnity of the Mass. There is sufficient parking here, too. I like the simplicity in the church design, and the beautiful angelic worship music.

Friendly Catholic Church, from the Parish Priests , staff and to the parishioners.It’s full of spirit, you can feel the presence of The Lord, the moment you enter the church.
