The team at Mission Edge is so dynamic. There are a lot of incubators and accelerators but Mission Edge was by far the most practical and useful to not only launching and growing my social enterprise, but walking beside me when major opportunities arose. Ken Davenport is an incredible leader, well known in San Diego, who has hired a dynamic team. Kacie Brennell has been able to help me focus on key messaging, online ads, pitching and she has an innate gift that she teaches to me and so many others. Mission Edge feels like a community and I am so thrilled I was able to do City SAIL last year- I highly recommend it to everyone!

My partner Eric Mowrey and I are so grateful to Mission Edge including Ken Davenport and Kacie Brennell. We participated in the Mission Edge SAIL Program in the Winter of 2019. This was a key part of us building a sustainable vision and plan for our Passion Purpose Academy, which focuses on supporting at risk youth with career and life training. We specifically focus on support Native American High School Youth. We greatly appreciated the program's sessions with useful guidance as well as the guidance from our mentor Hem Suri who spent countless hours with us to help us build and develop our plan and prepare for the two pitch presentations. This also helped us see the importance of developing a rock solid and well rounded Advisory Board that was also critical in helping us in the SAIL Program and still supports us today. With Ken's, Kacie's and Hem's help we were able to make it to the Final Pitch Round and more important than that, we were able to gain a lot of clarity of our direction and our why and understand how we could create a more impactful and more sustainable business model, so we can truly help positively change the trajectory of many youths lives as well as their communities. Thank you Mission Edge, Ken, Kacie, Team, and Hem for helping us live our passion and purpose to help young people live their dreams.

Mission Edge is one of those rare organizations that lives their ethos. They have a passion-filled commitment to impact by partnering with businesses and non-profits to make them as successful as possible, and as sustainable as possible. They give back to the community in a number of ways from their SAIL program to leadership donating time to train entrepreneurs outside of their day to day. I'm grateful to know Mission Edge! They're a wonderful group of people.

Mission Edge provided an excellent City SAIL business accelerator focused on helping social impact businesses in San Diego. We (BrilliantBiome) were part of their virtual cohort and everyone involved were able to minimize the impact of the Coronavirus imposed virtual environment and provided an engaging curriculum, discussions, and community among the entrepreneurs similar to an in person environment. We were given the opportunity to have Ken as our mentor and very thankful to him and all of the rest of the amazing staff and speakers for their support. I now feel more empowered to accomplish our business goals and go make a positive impact in the city of San Diego and the world! Thanks Mission Edge!

OG Yoga chose to be fiscally Sponsored by Mission Edge San Diego and we have been thrilled with the supportive services and consulting. They professionally handle our HR, Finance, and Taxes. They were successful in securing PPP funding in both 2020 and 2021. I have enjoyed the relationships from Mission Edge and especially was appreciative for the SAIL Program for social enterprises. I learned so much from this unique program which resulted in two new enterprises including the OG Yoga Studio and the OG Yoga Teacher Training School. Mission Edge provides tremendous support for founders like myself. As we grew and prospered they helped reshape our operations infrastructure to more closely align with our growth. Thank you Mission Edge San Diego!

Mission Edge has been outstanding. Ken understands the NPO environment and has created a team of professionals dedicated to supporting the NPOs with the right tools, processes and products. I'd recommend Mission Edge to any new NPO, or existing NPO for that matter, to assist with building or creating an efficient and effective back office capability.

For small nonprofits with limited staff, being fiscally sponsored by Mission Edge can be a smart decision. I especially like that they handle all of our HR concerns and keep up to date with laws in that area so that we do everything properly. You are one step removed from the accounting details though. Thus, if you like to pull custom financial reports on an ad hoc basis, that is something you need to consider. Overall, a good decision especially when getting started or when your staff needs to focus on your mission and not the back office requirements.
