I had a heart attack last year. Due to this my husband had to take time off to care for our girls, our home and myself to recover. Unfortunately his income is the only income we have. Due to medical issues I can no longer work so we needed help with rent. Thankfully they came through for us and we were able to focus getting back on our feet. Him at working and providing and me back to better health and caring for myself and the girls

From Day One I felt like family here.

HOPE

PS I missed the big blue comfortable and firm mattress and the lovely faces of the staff! Here4You secured me with Shelter at HomeFirst Little Orchard after a 3-week waitlist. They called within 3-weeks and had transportation ready to pick me up within 15 minutes from TSA Emmanuel House. I missed being locked down at 4pm-6am. Make sure you arrive promptly by 3:30pm for in-take and to keep everyone safe passed with a negative CoVID-19 rapid test. They do a breathalyzer for everyone for alcohol. If you plan on staying the night do not drink and have a valid CA identification for first-timers.

TSA Emmanuel House was the first place I stayed at after realizing that I no longer have a place to call Home. Those lonely nights that I was Homeless and was in desperate need of a Shelter to rest my head. After a few days in the dark outside on the streets and not knowing what I might be eating was an experience I hope not to relive again.

Great dinner are offered after you are received (in-take) for the evening and a light and warm breakfast is offered after 6am (checkout) where extra snacks are available for you to save for later in the afternoon.

I stayed close to 3-weeks and it left a very memorable tone to my mental wellness. Like everyone, I plan on securing my own place in the future. At this time, I'm making plans for my immediate future and hoping for the best.

There is HOPE for everyone. Don't give up the fight when it comes to your life: make a choice and secure your immediate future now.
