I came across Something to look forward to almost by accident, but I'm so glad I did. I have been incredibly lucky to have received two gifts via this charity.

The first was a lovely set of makeup by Donna May Makeup, London. I finished chemo at the end of September and have lost all of my eyelashes and majority of my eyebrows. With no hair, no eyelashes or eyebrows, it's hard to feel beautiful. I like to wear makeup as it makes me feel good about myself, so to have been able to receive this generous gift has given me a real boost when I'm at my lowest.

The second gift was an hour's float experience. I visited Floating Point in Pangbourne, Reading today and had a really lovely experience. There is parking directly outside, which is a bonus, especially with the aches I am currently experiencing as a side effect to chemo. Booking was easy too. It felt like I was laying on a super cosy bed with a really fluffy pillow. I had soft music playing and it sent me to sleep ZzZZzzzz. After I had finished I got to go to a relaxation room and have a lovely cup of tea. This was just what the doctor ordered and a fab start to the weekend. Thank you so much 'Something to Look Forward To'.
