As a donation pickup service, I am really disappointed. You may or may not get your donations picked up; I had one out of three scheduled pickups actually happen. The first pickup I scheduled was online, the second was over the phone, and the third was online. The pickup I scheduled over the phone actually got picked up, but the two scheduled online did not. So, if you’re scheduling a pickup, do it over the phone. Good luck reaching someone on the phone though! I called almost everyday for two weeks and only got voicemail, and no one called me back when I left a message. That was even more frustrating when I attempted to call the morning of my last online scheduled pickup to confirm the pickup because it was going to rain in the afternoon and I didn’t want to leave my donations outside if they weren’t going to show. Well, no answer on the phone, my items never got picked up, and they got soaking wet in the rain even under cover...I had to go drop everything off at another donation center myself, in the rain. Thanks guys. As a veteran myself, I am extremely disappointed in you. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Don't bother calling this organization to pick up any donations you have. They used to be really good a couple of years ago but now they could care less if they get your donation or not. I scheduled a pick up in Riverchase for Wed. 6/21. Got a call at my office at 11 am that morning that their truck needed maintenance but they could pick up on Thursday 6/22. Again put my donations out & no one picked them up. Barbara actually called & left me a message that afternoon that they were going to pick up that day. Earlier Thursday morning they called & the message I received was just a bunch of laughing in the background & then a hang up. I once again called Thursday evening that donation was not picked up as promised & I would leave out again on Friday. Again, no return call & no pickup. Most the time when calling all you get is a message to leave your information. No one will answer the phone! They are impossible to communicate with & even worse doing what they tell you or sticking with a schedule. I will never call them again after the sorry service I received this time. Before I called, my husband tried to reach them for two weeks leaving messages & sending emails with no response. Don't waste your time with this organization! Not dependable to say the least.

Over the years, I had good experience with UVA. But, recently Whenever I called them to schedule a donation it was mostly going to voice messages. They are not prompt nowdays to call back the voice messages as they used to be. Moreover, after several attempt they schedule my donation pick up, but messed up with my address. Again reschedule it, and didn’t show up. Next day suddenly a man showed up to pick up my donation stated that they broke up last day. When I asked for receipt he denied saying they will email it later. That I suppose not going to happen.
Overall, it was a very weird and uncomfortable experience I had recently.

I wouldn't even give them a one star ... but I had to to be able to post this. I emailed and recieved an email back saying they would pick up on Saturday the 1st from my mother-in-laws condo that was sold. I made a special trip in from Chelsea on Saturday morning to put it all out on the patio. They didn't pick up. I sent two emails and never received a reply back. I called on Tuesday, the assured me it would be picked up that day. It wasn't. I called on Thursday the 6th. They promised me they would come out that day, they would have the driver call and let them know when it was picked up and they would call me. Never happened! I called and left a voice mail asking for a supervisor to call me back and give me an explanation as to why my donations weren't picked up. Do you think I have heard a word ... and that the donatiosn have been picked up? NO ... do NOT rely on these people to do anything!!!!!!!

Scheduled a pick up the week prior to scheduled day to pick up old office furniture. New furniture was to be delivered and installed the next morning. Called to check location after they didn't show 30 minutes after they said they would. Was told that the truck was filled up at the previous stop and they didn't know what to tell us. Finally was told that once some guys returned to the building, there was an empty truck that they would get and head to our office, in which we arranged someone to stay after hours. Then received a call that the truck was not there and they could not be coming. After trying unsuccessfully to find another company that would come last minute, called back to see if they could accommodate by coming the next morning and they never returned our calls. Very disappointed.

Had been corresponding with someone for a month and received several confirmation emails that my donations would be picked up on a specific day and time. No one shows up nor answers any of my six phone calls.

Have called multiple times to schedule a pickup. Never showed. They called stating it would be about an hour then called stating the driver looked at the wrong address and would call me back. No call. Guess I will send my donations somewhere else.

They picked up my donations today as scheduled and went above and beyond-these men did more than I would have ever expected. Excellent experience! I hope the donations benefit someone.
