A tenant of mine in voluntary detox had a very mixed opinion. On the one hand, the counselors were great and supportive. However the place was dangerous. One client pulled a knife on him, and many were doing hard drugs. The food was awful, with many sweets but then only diet drinks. He feared for his life when the staff would not take the knife threat seriously. Understaffed this week. These problems should be reported to the police and city and county.

This place was a major reason I have 30 years involved in recovery. I have also been in the field for the last 28 years or longer. I believe this place, Kiva, gave me a foundation for life based on very strong principles and standards. Those that say you have to want it to be able to change your life, I don't agree with. Counselors helped me go from being too scared and feeling hopeless about wanting to change to having hope for myself and seen the promise and vision that I could have in my life. Thank you mcalister

This should actually be no stars. My son is 16. He was there for 1 day .He walked out on the second day he was there and he's been missing for two months. The day he left the program director called me to tell me and he did not sound concerned. He was detached and cold .If you're a parent and need to send your child to rehab, I would recommend you do it out of state because here in the state is California, they will let them walk out .

This lady with Jean McAllister her heart is true on helping people but the real counseling and real support isn't really there they have great white girls that you can talk to some of their real counselors are great however they're missing someone that can really see what your situation is

The worst. Worst i tell you
Everyone is taking them selfs srrious but not there job.specialy there's one girl name Jesica salas god help us i hope i never have to run in to her AGAIN.
