Stopped off on our way to the Tehachapi Loop. It was late afternoon on a Sunday. We pulled in as someone was pulling out. As we were driving on the paved road heading toward the admission building a white pickup truck was heading the opposite direction and waved us down. The man asked me where we were going and informed me it was private property back there. I pointed out that the admissions building for the Cesar Chavez Foundation is back there and I see no signs about it being private property. He said it is. I said okay passing him to turn around. The creepy man followed me to insure I didn't go on the unmarked private property. A little suspicious. It's a public area, but this fellow doesn't want you going past the foundation to the admissions. As we were leaving the area another vehicle was pulling in. It just seemed weird that there was so much traffic, a man "patrolling" the area, yet we were virtually kicked out. Not sure what's going on over at the Cesar Chavez Foundation, but it is very doubtful we will return to find out.

The patrolling man was in a late model white pickup truck. A small one like a Chevy, Toyota, or Mazda. He spoke broken English and was in his mid to late 50's.
