I went before they opened, line wasnt too bad outside.

Overall they have good staff and system to sort you out and get you to see the right people. My issue was resolved rather quickly. The lady who helped me, Anna, was also kind to me.

I also misplaced my wallet without even knowing and a staff member brought it to me! Lifesavers!

I am grateful for the easy parking too.

Just be patient, have your documents ready, and have clear questions to ask to make it simpler for them to help you.

Overall good experience. Definitely go early, the lines builds up pretty fast.

First off, don't count on ever getting a hold of someone over the phone... I'm sure there are plenty of accounts on google reviews alone to quantify that fool's errand. Basically, I did an interview for Calfresh and the worker didn't record it so I had to do ANOTHER interview in person but thankfully on the afternoon I went (11/21/2024) there were no lines and I was sent to where I needed to be rather quickly.

However, the person who helped me (shorter Hispanic lady with glasses and graying hair) was kind of rude, snippy and condescending... acting like I tracked mud in her house with dirty shoes every time I asked her to simply repeat something. Every time she saw something on my record she was acting like I was trying to milk the system even though if nothing changes I might be homeless in 3-6 months or so...

I understand, we all have bad days but do you have to take it out on people who are having difficulty navigating rough times? A little kindness, patience and empathy can go a long way. I'd recommend that she look for another position in DPSS or another line of work where she isn't in a service role talking to the public. She DID resolve my problems so extra star but I don't exactly appreciate the way I was spoken to.

Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.
Tried asking for her name but flipped her badge back. Completely disappointed on how some of these workers make us people in need feel this disrespected.

Have spent about 18 hours combined over the last weeks on hold trying to get through to a human ...
Have gotten exceedingly poor service from these people the few rares times I have gotten through. The last woman I was on the phone with gave her name as A R M Y. She refused to let me speak to a manager. I'd love to hear and share my audio recordings with management or the local news station. I will be filing a complaint for harassment, discrimination etc

It is ridiculous that you can't just make an appointment at a specific time and just arrive at that specific time. It's stupid that you have to wait in line, just to get in.
